Abstract
This paper proposes the use of the LS-LMS adaptive
algorithm for active noise control (ANC) applications.
First the new ANC algorithm is introduced, using a
modified error technique similar to the constraint
filtered-x LMS algorithm. The stability of the algorithm
can be proven by selecting a proper Lyapunov function,
under some simplifying but realistic assumptions.
Simulation results reveal a good performance of the
algorithm, confirmed by the experiments in a ventilation
duct.
