Abstract
The present invention relates to the field of detecting and receiving electromagnetic signals, and more particularly to arrangement and method for receiving low level radio-wave signals. An arrangement for receiving low level radio-wave signals comprises: a cryogenic cooler (1, 31) comprising a wavefront dielectric window (3) arranged in the enclosure of said cryogenic cooler (1, 31); an array (2) of radio-wave signal receive chains arranged inside said cryogenic cooler (1, 31), wherein each of said radio-wave signal receive chains comprise a receiving antenna (11), a first income low noise amplifier (12), a phase shift module and a re-radiating antenna (17); a focusing lens (4, 34) arranged to receive signals from said re-radiating antennas (17) of said array (2) of radio-wave signal receive chains; an aperture antenna (5, 35) arranged to receive signals from said focusing lens (4, 34); and a radio frequency output (7, 37) arranged to receive signal from said aperture antenna (5, 35) and to output an RF output signal.
