Abstract
This report is part of the EU project ACCORD (Automated Compliance Checks for Construction, Renovation or Demolition Works). The project aims to digitalize permitting and compliance processes using BIM and other data sources to improve productivity and quality in design and construction, support climate-neutral building designs, and advance a sustainable built environment in line with the EU Green Deal and the new European Bauhaus initiative. It develops a semantic framework and a cloud architecture for European digital building permitting processes, regulations, data, and tools, driving rule formalization and integration of existing compliance tools as microservices. The project supports work programme Key Strategic Objectives (KSOs) of the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan by developing interoperability, automating environmental regulation checks, involving stakeholders through co-creation, and creating information guidelines for structured data models.
