    Abstract

Biodegradable composites based on natural fibre reinforced PLLA for injection moulding applications have been developed. Research work concentrated on process development and analysing materials and production technologies for biodegradable compound applications. In order to enhance the mechanical properties of the biocomposites, compatiblisation chemistry for the incorporation of natural reinforcements in biopolymer matrix resins was explored.
