Abstract
A lightning impulse (LI) voltage measurement campaign was held at TU Delft in October 2022 for the comparison between measurement systems of different institutes and the research of linearity performance up to 3000 kV. To achieve good agreements during the campaign, VSL, TU Delft and VTT characterized and fine-tuned the 4000 kV generator and divider. The front oscillations on the LI waveforms were reduced significantly by adding load capacitor to the circuit. The front time error of TU Delft measurement system was calibrated and improved by tuning the damping resistor of the LI divider using VSL measuring system as the reference. Final comparison campaign results indicated that the calibration and tuning had significantly improved the testing voltage and time parameters measurement accuracy.
