Abstract

The characterization of an impactor may be done theoretically based on the flow and the pressure drop studies of each stage or on experimental calibration with particles of known properties. In the case of compressible flow the theoretical characterization is sophisticated. In this work a commercial low pressure impactor (Hauke LPI 25/. 015/2) was calibrated with monodisperse particles.
