Abstract
The characteristic dust explosion properties, such as the lower explosible limit, the greatest explosion pressure, the greatest rate of pressure rise, the specific material constant and the dust explosion class, of fine-milled Fe-Nd-B powders were determined in the present work. The minimum ignition energy was estimated from the measured data. The Fe-Nd-B powders were found to be readily explosible materials where the intensity of the explosion was, however, considered to be relatively weak.
