Abstract
Climaste change impacts are specified and described as well as the
consequences on the members of the built environment. Some recent impact
events are analysed. Needs for adaptation in terms of contingency planning and
protective measures in the current cmmunity, change of design standards,
contents of urban planning and some specific facilities are discussed. Needs
for investigations and research to improve capability for adaptation is
discussed.
