Abstract
Results of work aimed at developing a closed loop control system of inking for newspaper printing are presented. The general concept of closed loop control in the context of newspaper printing is discussed, along with various inking control design issues and implementation strategies, followed by a presentation of results from test printings with the closed loop control system installed in a newspaper press.
