    Abstract

The work of professional network managers was studied from the viewpoint of the demands the domain sets on this management work. Based on the framework of Norros (2004), the demands can be met by psychological resources, one of which being collaboration. A case study is presented in which the realization of collaboration to meet the demands was investigated. It was found out that collaboration was used for meeting the demands related to complexity and dynamism but that the possibilities offered by collaboration were not utilized in problems related to uncertainty. Reasons and implications of this are discussed.
