Abstract
Virtual Reality (VR) can speed up the design process and
support the communication in design. However, today the
VR systems are employed inefficiently by important
innovators: small and medium sized enterprises. This
paper describes a frequently used mixed reality system
evaluated by experts in the field of VR (partners from
the EU INTUITION network of excellence) and provides
requirements for practically applicable VR systems. The
conclusion is that VR should be fast and easy to use,
connectable, transparent and extendable for adding new
knowledge and functionalities.
