Combined electrical and optical detection in continuous mass monitoring

Abstract

A simple method is described to estimate the mass median diameter of an aerosol bycombining the simultaneous output data of an aerosol photometer and an electrical aerosol detector. The method is based on different size dependence of the mass sensitivities of the two instruments.
