Abstract
Comprehensive two-dimensional liquid chromatography (LC×LC) is a relatively new and expanding technology which provides enhanced separation power by combining two LC modes with different separation mechanisms. In this review, practical principles and guidelines for designing LC×LC methods are given. Selected applications from food, plant, polymer and bioanalytical areas from the last five years are presented.
