The importance of CE in construction is evident from the fact that this volume contains contributions from many leading experts around the globe. CE is a way of life that construction organisations need to adopt in order to stay alive and competitive.
In order to ensure a high standard of papers a rigid review process was enforced. The output of this process is reflected in the quality of the papers in this volume.
Not only do these papers contribute to our understanding of the challenges the new millennium presents for concurrent engineering in construction, but also advise us on how to cope with these challenges in an efficient manner.
