Abstract
Business models are evolving from selling products towards delivering system performance, capacity, and availability in business ecosystems. Machine manufacturers face a rapidly changing business environment and look for major growth in industrial internet enabled solutions, automation and services. The implementation of advanced technologies call also for novel models of sharing risks and benefits. The literature review and modelling of cash flows presented in this paper provide a model for leveraging initial investments in assets when applying emerging technologies.
