Abstract

Minimised function of the constrained least-squares optimisation problem can be written in simple form, which allows a fast optimisation of phases of goal function and constraint value phases. If the constraint functions are written for element excitation values, this phase optimisation can be used for phase synthesis of conformal array antennas. Phase synthesis has been done for conformal arrays having hundreds of elements.
