Abstract

The paper deals with the correlation between two hydrogen cracking tests for welds (i) a small scale helical notch Implant test and (ii) a semi-full scale Restraint test. The correlation was found to be good and was further improved and explained by recently introduced stress and hydrogen parameters. The study indicated that the scope and applications of the Implant test can be considerably widened.
