Abstract
Cooperative ITS is expected to improve traffic safety and flow as well as reduce emissions. The Finnish C-ITS pilot establishes NordicWay results of hybrid communication cloud communication architecture mainly using cellular network. In the Finnish C-ITS pilot, procured by the national authorities, three industry ecosystems with a total of 19 companies were awarded. The first results
include ecosystems defined hybrid communication interchange network, where different public and private service providers including existing services and vehicle fleets, exchange C-ITS messages. The proposed models have to be technically functional, profitable and legal with privacy protection and
information security taken into account. The pilot works in NordicWay2 and C-Roads collaboration to establish European wide cross-border interoperability.
