    Abstract

    Customer oriented product family definition method is presented.The method is based on Quality Function Deployment which is adapted to suit for concurrent development of multiple product variants.The extensions are customer need based segmentation approach and specification approach that uses customer satisfaction estimates.The methods are experimented with examples.
