Abstract
This study provides new knowledge on the customer value creation with future mixed fleet concepts in the industrial context. This empirical case study focuses on mixed fleet concepts meaning that the Automated Guided Vehicles, Autonomous Mobile Robots, and manned vehicles e.g. forklift trucks, and overhead cranes operate in the same industrial facilities with humans. Primary data was gathered by in-depth interviews with industrial companies being either potential customers for future mixed fleet concepts or companies innovating future mixed fleet concepts to potential industrial customers. Secondary data was gathered with individual workshop among companies innovating future mixed fleet concepts. As a result, different types of customer values from future mixed fleet concepts is summarized in a table to show how manifold the values are. Besides adding academic understanding of the topic, this paper provides practical information for the potential customers and for the companies innovating new mixed fleet concepts.
