Abstract
The cyber security of critical infrastructures (CI) has
become a focal concern for a number of national and
international actors, each with their own, specific
interests [1, 2]. As CIs present a logical target for
cyber warfare and cyber terrorism, cyber security is
climbing the agenda across governments and organisations.
Due to their very criticality, CIs are of keen interest
to CI operators and military and intelligence
organisations, as well as to terror groups seeking to
cause harm through sabotage. The cyber security of CIs
depends on the overall security of numerous
interconnected sub-structures - achieving this demands
profound expertise in all aspects of cyber security.
