Abstract
The TeleFOT EU/FP7 project aims at assessing the impacts
of telematic functions provided by nomadic and
aftermarket devices, such as navigation support and speed
limit information, on traffic safety, user mobility and
environment. As much as 3000 test users will form the
test communities of Finland, Sweden, UK, Italy, Spain and
Greece. For the collection and analysis of the data a
data collection system is needed, which allows collecting
input from various heterogeneous sources and extracting
relevant data for all analysts. This paper will describe
the issues which have to be taken into account when
developing the data collection system, gathering
information from a heterogeneous amount of devices and
services.
