Abstract

In this paper we discuss our experiences in designing and implementing an event-based system aimed to support the provision of proactive context-aware services. We present our findings about the critical design decisions of such system and give a preliminary performance evaluation of the system prototype. Such analysis permits us to identify crucial performance checkpoints of our system to be taken into consideration in the future work.
