    Abstract

Brazil has the world's largest ethanol production from sugarcane, but bacterial contamination decreases the ethanol yields. It was shown that the biocide DesinFixT 135 can reduce the contamination without decreasing the yeasts' viability or negatively affecting the ethanol production.
