Abstract

This Guidebook is one of three final products of the PROSPECTS project - the others being the Decision-Makers' Guidebook and the Policy Guidebook. These Guidebooks constitute a whole, and are meant as tools to assist strategic land use and transport planning in European cities. The focus of the Methodological Guidebook is on appraisal of such plans and on a new method of combining the available policy instruments to form the best possible comprehensive strategy. The overarching perspective is sustainability.
