    Abstract

In this paper, the whole cycle of product development and design process is considered from the point of view of noise emission with connections to other fields of expertise. The comparison is made between sequential and parallel design (also called concurrent engineering). The emphasis is on the methodology applicable in systematic, iterative development and design processes.
