Abstract
This research was carried out within the national energy
research programme EDISON for electricity distribution
automation (DA) that is funded by the Technology
Development Centre (Tekes). The work has been carried out
in co-operation with ABB Transmit.
The paper was given the Innovation Award for best Utility
Project/Product at the DA/DSM Europe 1996 Conference.
This shortened version was earlier published in Utility
Automation, Vol. 2, No. 1, Jan/Feb 1997.
