Abstract
Logistics aims to execute the delivery process
productively, economically, securely and safely, taking
into account the customers' requirements. As supply
chains become more complex, they tend to be more
difficult to control. Disturbances lead to delays,
additional costs and product damages. A disturbance free
supply chain is efficient, reliable, visible, resilient
and economical. This demands for different types of
management and security measures dependent on the
characteristics of the supply chain.
