    Abstract

Electric bus charger in the prototype electric bus "Muuli", the Mule was measured for power quality and simulation model was constructed with the help of these measurements. The Charger had quite high harmonics in the current. Simulation model had also low value inductor filter to emulate current waveform shape from the measurements. The model was tuned to be accurate at about 20kW power output. High THD value of the charger, about 32% is by no means ok and could cause power quality problems. Future work with the model will focus on finding candidates for filtering the harmonics to more acceptable level.
