Abstract
To elucidate the chemical influence of boron (B) vapor species on deposited cesium iodide (CsI) in the reactor coolant system, we performed reaction experiment for deposited CsI and B vapor species in a steam atmosphere. It was found that the formation of gaseous iodine is promoted by chemical reaction between the deposited CsI and B vapor species.
