Abstract

This ETC/WMGE report provides the analytical underpinning for the EEA Briefing.

It presents an overview of the production and consumption of electronics in Europe and its environmental impacts. By using four case studies , the report shows how increasing the product lifetime is essential for reducing environmental impacts from electronics. In addition, it examines potential circular business models and policy measures for increasing lifetimes of electronics.
