Abstract
A method for filtering a gas flow, in which method the particles in the gas flow are charged; and the gas flow is directed through a filter structure, which filter structure comprises thin, substantially non-conductive fibres. In the method the gas flow that comprises electrically charged particles is brought to the filter structure, whose fibres are charged electrically by the effect of the gas flow that comprises charged particles, and the filter structure removes at least a part of the particles in the gas flow by means of an electric attraction. In addition, the invention relates to a filter apparatus implementing the method.
