Abstract
Environmental issues are becoming more and more important
in manufacturing, sustainable production and
environmentally benign manufacturing because of the
rising concern of climate change, depletion of natural
resources and pollution. The paper will evaluate and
compare three methods, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Value
Stream Mapping (VSM) and Discrete Event Simulation (DES)
which are used to evaluate the ecoefficiency and
environmental aspects of production and products. The
evaluation of the methods is based on the experience
obtained.
