Abstract
A general and easy-to-use environmental test tailoring
process for civil and military applications is presented.
The work is based on literary review and on new studies
of real-life applications. The developed environmental
test tailoring process is for all environmental factors,
e.g. shocks, vibrations, temperature. In addition, the
process may be used for complete systems or subsystems.
The presentation does not go into great detail on a
particular environmental factor, instead giving the
framework and necessary phases for a successful
environmental test tailoring process. As the approach
here is general, the existing standards and tailoring
methodologies may be used simultaneously.
