Abstract

The role of software architecture has changed. Product line architecture has also become a recently emerged discipline. A number of software architecture design methods have been developed but only three of them are known to answer the needs of software product lines. These methods are SPLIT, CoPAM and FORM. In this paper, an evaluation framework is introduced for comparing product line architecture design methods. The selected design methods for product line architectures are evaluated according to the framework and the results are described in the form of a comparison table.
