    Abstract

In this document we report our research on detection algorithms utilized with commercially available Impulse radars in Ultra Wide Band (UWB). The main target of this project is the research of detection algorithms for humans and other objects near moving machinery to prevent collision. The project includes theoretical and experimental parts and targets to a further project where researched technologies and algorithms are implemented in an embedded environment to be used in real machinery.
