Abstract
The NAFEMS Nordic Seminar “Exploring the Design Freedom of Additive Manufacturing through Simulation” was held for the second time in Helsinki, Finland in December 2018. Along with two parallel sessions of technical presentations running during the two-day event, the seminar included an exhibition and sponsor presentations featuring all the relevant software houses providing simulation for additive manufacturing (AM), a workshop on the Digital Spare Parts concept and an AM component design Show & Tell. The event provided a comprehensive overview for approximately 100 delegates on the current state and progress in simulation for AM.
