Abstract

Independent failure studies on timber structures have recently been carried out in various countries in Europe. The Nordic study is here briefly summarized. The difficulty in comparison of the failure assessments is that these have not been done in a uniform manner. This makes comparisons between the studies and the development of common remedy procedures a difficult task. The purpose of this paper is to propose a common format on gathering information from failure cases of timber structures
