Field comparison and wind tunnel calibration of two heated anemometers

    Abstract

    Two anemometers, Rosemount Solid State and Hydro-Tech WS-3, designed for wind measurements in icing conditions were calibrated in a wind tunnel and compared in field tests. A significant difference between the velocity output was observed in the comparison.
