Abstract

Information is the lifeblood of innovation. Throughout the world companies, universities, research organizations as well as governments are working to discover new frontiers and create innovations for the world's economic and social progress. The growth of the body of information and the ease of access to information are unprecedented in human history. Yet paradoxically, effective management of information is more challenging than ever before. From Information to Innovation is the main theme of the ICSTI Annual Conference and Exhibition 2010 in Helsinki and will highlight the significance of information as the enabler and catalyst for scientific, technical and business developments and point to elements of success in building the future. The one-and-a-half day conference program approaches the main theme from various thought-provoking perspectives presented by significant opinion leaders and experts around the world.
