Guidelines for frost protection considering ice rink structures are presented in this publication. The volume presents the determination of initial data required in the design of both open-air and indoor ice rinks. Examples of determination of the design climate and framing the desired structure are also treated. Design parametres for thermal conductivity of thermal insulation materials treated in this document are given assuming that the structure has an impermeable surface and its draining is properly dealt with.
