    Abstract

Use of video conferencing and other collaborative tools is growing in concurrent engineering. However, the tools generally fail to deliver the users' attention and awareness of each other. The paper describes a browser based video conferencing prototype application where each of the remote participants is represented by own video stream and camera, letting the local user to see to whom the remote participant is speaking. The prototype was implemented using the latest web technologies such as WebRTC and HTML5.
