    Abstract

This study represents how generation curtailment can be utilised to increase the wind power hosting capacity of an existing distribution network. This study proposes a control algorithm that implements the curtailment and can be easily implemented as a part of the existing network management tools of the distribution system operator. This study also presents how the amount of annual curtailment can be evaluated prior to wind farm construction.
