Abstract
Finland is one of the few countries in the world where
all harbours are ice-bound during normal winters, some of
them for as long as six months of the year. VTT
Information Technology has developed applications for
ships and icebreakers operating in ice-infested sea
areas. The IBPlott system helps the icebreaker fleets of
Finland and Sweden to co-ordinate their assistance
activities.
