Abstract
The complexity of smart energy systems poses a significant challenge in terms of testing. As a solution to tackle the specific challenge, the Holistic Validation approach proposes the use of a template-based methodology called Holistic Test Description. The most important extensions in the methodology are presented in this work. These extensions regard the representation of Systems, Control Functions Uncertainty, and Profiling, while automation of the templates via machine-readable approaches is also examined.
