    Abstract

    H2020-project SKILLFUL (Skills and competences development of future transportation professionals at all levels) [1] vision is to identify the skills and competences needed by the professionals working in transport sector in the future, and to define the training methods and tools to meet the requirements. To achieve this, SKILLFUL aims to review the existing, emerging and future knowledge and competence requirements of workers at all levels in the transportation sector. Professional drivers’ training needs related to increased automation in vehicles were studied in Finland as one case study related to SKILLFUL-project first work package, which is investigating the future trends in transport system and impacts on jobs.
