Abstract

In this work, hardware and software issues of building a control system for axial magnetic bearings are considered. The third generation of magnetic bearings requires self-tuning and self-calibration. These techniques should be complemented by an option of a controller switch in operational processes. An implementation of a bumpless method is discussed for cases that solve the problem of system instability and signal overshoot during switching.
