    Abstract

Modern supply chains have a large number of transport phases and actors involved, and face many security risks. However, actors are reluctant to invest in security, as the main costs and benefits do not match. This paper will address the first results of a Finnish national project, related to disturbance free supply chains, address which are the technological possibilities to improve the security of supply chains, assess how companies can benefit from the investments in security technology, and how companies can be assisted in selecting the most optimal technology.
