    Abstract

The integration of fuzzy controls and dynamic simulation in a PC Windows environment is presented. There are several reasons why one would apply dynamic simulation of industrial plants. We can educate plant personnel for plant operation and alarm situations, we can test existing control systems, and we can test new control algorithms. In this paper we integrate fuzzy control with dynamic simulation. With this tool, we can prove the control performance of fuzzy control algorithms before testing on real plants. In addition, we can tune the fuzzy controllers on the simulator instead of the real plant, which would irritate any plant manager. We believe that the APROS simulation environment, combined with fuzzyTECH, is of great assistance in the implementation of fuzzy controls on industrial processes.
