Abstract
This international conference on Product Focused Software
Process Improvement (Profes 99) opens a new series of
conferences on professional software process improvement
motivated by product quality needs. The conference theme
"Software Product and Professional Software Process
Improvement" addresses both the solutions found in
practice, and research reports from academia.
The purpose of the conference is especially to stimulate
discussion between researchers, experienced
professionals, and technology providers of the area. The
conference programme includes 38 presentations, panel
discussions and two ESSI PIE dissemination sessions.
